About me
I am Julius and I do my PhD on pedestrian crossings in different European Countries at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Bauhaus-University in Weimar (Germany), where I am part of the team at the Chair of Transport System Planning.
I studied transportation engineering at Dresden University of Technology (Germany) and Riga Technical University (Latvia) and started as a PhD student in Weimar in late 2018.
When I am not out there taking pictures of zebra crossings, I like to ride my bike(s) and listen to music. I am also interested in learning languages, which comes in handy with an international research project. I am also active in the Weimar branch of the German Cyclists Association (ADFC) on a voluntary basis.
